Good friend and talented photographer David Pricco invited me up to Knapps Castle to kill time and shoot the shit as well as some photos before his scheduled appointment to photograph a musical group called Ragamaze (an “electronic fusion duo”). Samantha and I had a ton of fun messing around in quite the opposite attire of what might seem fitting for this location. After completing Born To Boogie, which starred Marc Bolan, T. Rex, Elton John, and Ringo Starr (who also directed the film), Starr began working on what is now known as the 1974 production Son of Dracula starring Harry Nilsson. Starr decided to produce a rock and roll Dracula comedy and invited Nilsson to join the project. Nilsson and Starr had been long time friends and coincidentally, Starr had just recently played drums on Nilsson’s 1972 album Son of Schmilsson, which spoofed horror movie themes.
